The 3D graphic is okay in my opinion but HoMM5 is way better. The Frostlings are from the Frozen North, and the Archons are holy fanatics.etc. Each race has a theme that sticks with itself. Most of them seem to be copies of certain creatures with only some new abilities. Ghosts of each race can perform different task like possesion, haunt mines.etc.ĪoW2 SM has 15 different races. The longer the opponents take in their turn, the longer you can use your ghosts. HoMM5 supports a 'Ghost mode' that help hasten the game. They are all in the 'tactic' mode when heroes fight in combat.There are only 4 adventure spells, so it's very boring when no cool spell can be use in adventure mode. The new race, Fortress in the expansion, has a nwe type of magic called runes. All these catergories and perks leads up to an ultimate skill.There are 4 magic schools : destructive, summon, dark, light.

The wizards have Knowledge as primary and Spellpower as secondary. The skills and perks of the catergories in each attribute are different than the Academy's wizards. The Haven's heroes, humans that follow the dragon of light, has the Defense as a primary attribute and Attack as the secondary. The skill system of the heroes is very dynamic and special to each race. The tax system from town and newtral buildings to get money, neutral creeping for resources and heroes level up. There are only 6(7 with the new expansion)races. There are 14 creatures for each race, but 7 is unupgrade version and the other 7 is the upgrade version, so actually there isn't much differences. The Sylvan, wood elves live on an island with a gigantic tree in the middle.etc. Those that don't know this game should try to look at the towns of each race. Okay, I really want to know which game is better, HoMM5 or AoW2 SM.
